GTA 6: Release Date, Price, Platforms and Everything Confirmed
Nineteen days out. What Rockstar has actually confirmed about Grand Theft Auto VI, from Leonida to the price tag, and what is still a question mark.

Thirteen years after GTA V, the wait is nearly over. Grand Theft Auto VI is dated for 19 November 2026, and Rockstar has now put a price, two editions and four major videos on the table. Here is what is officially confirmed as of 1 November 2026, and what is not.
The confirmed facts
- Release date: 19 November 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The date follows two delays, announced in May and November 2025.
- Price: $79.99 for the standard edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition in the US, as announced by Rockstar in June 2026. Regional prices vary.
- Pre-orders: open since 25 June 2026. Digital pre-loading begins on 12 November.
- Physical copies: the box contains a download code rather than a disc, according to Rockstar's pre-order details as reported by Game Informer.
- PC: no PC version has been announced. A later port is widely expected, but treat any date you see as speculation.
Vice City, Leonida and the two leads
The game returns to Vice City, Rockstar's take on Miami, inside the fictional state of Leonida: a modern Florida of swamps, keys, highways and neon. It is set in the present day, not the 1980s. The story follows two protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a criminal couple whose relationship sits at the centre of every trailer so far. Rockstar has kept online modes and the full map size under wraps.
The most expensive question in entertainment finally has a date: 19 November.
Every trailer, in order
- Trailer 1 (4 December 2023): released a day early after a leak; the introduction to Lucia and Vice City.
- Trailer 2 (6 May 2025): Jason steps in; Rockstar said it was gameplay and cutscenes captured in-game on PS5.
- An Extended Look (27 August 2026): a presentation of roughly 26 minutes that premiered first on Netflix before reaching Rockstar's own channels.
- Launch Trailer (15 October 2026): captured on PS5, built around Jason and Lucia and set to a new track by Justice.
Planning a launch night? Keep it simple: choose your console, pre-load from 12 November, clear the evening of the 19th and watch Rockstar Newswire for exact unlock times. Everything else, from online modes to the PC port, still sits in the not-yet-announced column, and that is where we will leave it until Rockstar says otherwise. Pre-loading matters more than usual here: even the boxed copy is a download code, so the disc will not save you the wait.
Key takeaways
- GTA VI launches 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- Rockstar set $79.99 (standard) and $99.99 (Ultimate) in the US.
- Digital pre-loading opens on 12 November; physical boxes hold a download code.
- No PC version has been announced.
