The road to GTA 6 on 19 November is getting crowded. In the last few days FromSoftware pushed The Duskbloods into 2027, Microsoft reported another dip for Xbox, and the League of Legends World Championship locked in its knockout bracket in Texas. Here is what changed, and what lands this week.
FromSoftware moves The Duskbloods to 2027
On 29 October FromSoftware announced on the game's official X account that its vampire-themed PvPvE action game will launch in 2027 rather than 2026, Kotaku and VideoGamer report. The studio said the game is in its "final adjustment stage" and needs time for "final adjustments to game rules and balancing" after its closed network test in August. No new date was given. The Duskbloods remains a Nintendo Switch 2 console exclusive, so Nintendo's holiday line-up now leans on remakes and Switch 2 editions.
Xbox: a smaller decline, still a decline
Microsoft's results for July to September, published on 28 October, show Xbox content and services revenue down 2% year on year and Xbox hardware down 14%, according to Thurrott and Inven Global. It is the fourth consecutive quarterly drop for content and services, but far smaller than the 10% fall of the previous quarter. Inven also notes that Microsoft and Xbox chief Asha Sharma have denied reports that private equity firms were considering a bid for the division.
Worlds 2026: the bracket is set
The Swiss stage ended on 1 November and the quarter-final draw followed at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, Sports Kyunghyang reports. From here everything is single elimination and best-of-five, from 4 to 7 November.
- Gen.G (LCK) vs LYON (LCS)
- T1 (LCK) vs Karmine Corp (LEC)
- Dplus KIA (LCK) vs Bilibili Gaming (LPL)
- Top Esports (LPL) vs Invictus Gaming (LPL)
T1 and Dplus KIA sit in the same half, so an all-Korean semi-final is possible. Hanwha Life Esports went out after a 0-2 defeat to BLG in the final Swiss round. The tournament runs until 14 November, with the final in New York.
What lands next
- 3 November: Zero Parades: Director's Cut on PS5, Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S.
- 5 November: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, Stellar Blade and Guardians of the Galaxy: Encore Edition on Switch 2.
- 12 November: Metaphor: ReFantazio and Pikmin 4 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
- 19 November: Grand Theft Auto VI on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, still the date on GamesRadar+'s release calendar updated on 30 October.
Seventeen days to Vice City, and the rest of the industry is clearing the road.
We will follow the Worlds knockouts and any final GTA 6 news through launch day.
