LEGO's 5,363-Piece Godzilla Leads a Monster Week for Collectors

Black Friday has its centrepiece. On 3 November LEGO unveiled LEGO Ideas Godzilla, set 21375, the first LEGO set featuring the King of the Monsters from Legendary's Monsterverse. Three days later, the Pokémon Trading Card Game drops its Delta Reign expansion. For collectors, it is a heavy week.

The biggest LEGO Ideas model ever

According to LEGO's announcement, the set has 5,363 pieces, making it the largest LEGO Ideas model launched so far. Posed with its Heat Ray, it stands about 70 cm tall, 27 cm wide and 40 cm long; a minifigure only reaches its ankle. LEGO lists a posable head, arms, legs and tail, textured scales and jagged dorsal fins, and a Heat Ray piece that swaps in for the tongue to recreate the upward roar.

The idea came from a fan. Designer Matthew Esposito, known as MattE720, submitted it on the LEGO Ideas platform, where it passed 10,000 supporter votes before the review board approved it. Jay's Brick Blog notes the blue dorsal fins match the films and that, given its size and weight, this is essentially a display piece.

Price, date and the gift

• Price: $449.99, €399.99, £349.99; AU$649.99 and CA$629.99, per Jay's Brick Blog.
• On sale: 27 November 2026, at LEGO.com and LEGO Stores. Age rating 18+.
• Gift with purchase: 40888 Godzilla Logo and Footprint, 27 to 30 November or while supplies last. Jay's Brick Blog says it includes a microscale ruined city and an exclusive Mothra element.
• Instructions: digital 3D steps in the LEGO Builder app.

"Building LEGO Godzilla was a real passion project." Matthew Esposito, fan designer, in LEGO's announcement.

Collector logic: big licensed Ideas sets sell for a limited time, and the gift with purchase only runs over the launch weekend. If you want both, plan for 27 November. Treat any resale talk as speculation, not a plan.

Pokémon: Delta Reign lands on 6 November

Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution, Delta Reign releases on 6 November after prerelease events from 24 October, TCGplayer reports. The set has 135+ cards and largely draws on the Japanese set Storm Emeralda, with Mega Rayquaza ex as the card everyone is chasing.

The pressure is visible. TCGplayer lists the Elite Trainer Box at an MSRP of $49.99 with a market price of $114.67 as of 19 October. November also brings the 30th Celebration collections, including an Ultra-Premium Collection with 29 booster packs, Yahoo Shopping reports.

How to play it

Buy what you will open or display at retail price, and avoid paying double on launch day. Prices on new sets often move fast in both directions; this is not investment advice. For grading and storage, see our guides to PSA, BGS and CGC and to the collector room.
